COSS(Convergence and Open Sharing System) Immersive Media Center at Chung-Ang University, responsible for cultivating global talents in the field of Immersive Media under the COSS, and Virtual Convergence College at Chung-Ang University will be hosting the Immersive Media and Content International Conference 2024.
This event aims to explore the future of Immersive Media and content convergence through a series of diverse and in-depth lectures by experts from academia and industry, both domestically and internationally.
The distinctive feature of this event is the panel discussions, ensuring that it goes beyond one-sided lectures and encourages lively discussions among participants. COSS(Convergence and Open sharing System) Immersive Media Center aims to establish an innovative interdisciplinary university system with the purpose of cultivating talent in the advanced field of immersive media.
It engages in various activities, such as jointly developing and operating educational programs with domestic and international universities, disseminating research and educational achievements through industry-academic collaboration, and signing MOUs focused on student and academic exchange.
Additionally, COSS Immersive Media Center actively organizes events such as company pitching and student entrepreneurship product exhibitions utilizing the virtual X-Space based on the metaverse platform.
It also made history by establishing the first-ever agreement for the creation of a college based on advanced education in collaboration with a local university in Vietnam and committing to global initiatives, including K-Global@Vietnam 2023 and hosting the Global Immersive Media Entrepreneurship Exhibition.
Virtual Convergence College is
the first new digital technology college established by Chung-Ang University among the Korean main universites, in pursuit of pedagogical innovation with cutting-edge Edu Tech--immersive media and metaverse.
